Bring In Spring with Refreshing Décor | Family Economics
By Andrea
Spring makes me want to clean, plant and redecorate! It's a new season and there’s something about the season that makes me want to bring new life to old items! Good news – you don’t have to spend a lot in the process.
Below are inexpensive ways to freshen up your spring décor:
Re-purpose, reuse and restore
As you clean out your storage, find items that can be re-purposed. Do you have an old basket you don’t use anymore? Make it a storage container for the kids' shoes. Give it a fresh coat of spray paint to bring it new life.
Painting can also be a low-cost way to transform a room. The great thing about painting during warm months is opening up the windows to help the paint dry. To save money, paint the rooms yourself.
Refresh outdoor furniture
I love getting the outdoor furniture back outside where it belongs. We typically keep our outdoor furniture in our garage during the winter so there isn't much wear and tear we notice in the spring. This saves quite a bit of time and money. When we put the furniture back outside, we take special care to wash any cushions so they are ready to enjoy.
Re-organize indoor furniture
We like to rearrange our furniture often and it's so refreshing to see it all in a new setting. It's like we purchased something new and all we did was shuffle around the old!
