Currently, 65% of our packaging is designed to be recyclable or reusable – up from 62% in 2019.
2018: SC Johnson partnered with Plastic Bank on solutions to reduce the global crisis of ocean plastic by helping increase recycling rates and address the challenges of poverty in impoverished communities.
2019: SC Johnson became an inaugural signatory of The New Plastics Economy Global Commitment with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, an initiative to help create a circular economy for plastics.
Since 2018, we have eliminated more than 6.1 million kilograms of unnecessary or problematic plastic packaging.
We introduced the first-ever trash bag made with 100% PCR film, including Ziploc® bags, collected through a pilot program at a U.S. recycling center.
