SC Johnson to Host Free Architecture Lecture and Film Series

October 29 Community Interest Program “How Architecture Inspires and Transforms” Features the Chicago Architecture Biennial’s Assistant Curator

RACINE, Wis., October 27, 2015 -- SC Johnson announced today it will host a series of special architecture-themed community interest programs at its Racine, Wisconsin headquarters. The free series kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on October 29 with guest lecturer Ariele Dionne-Krosnick, Assistant Curator of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and includes a free evening tour of the SC Johnson campus.

Dionne-Krosnick’s lecture “How Architecture Inspires and Transforms: The Chicago Architecture Biennial” will include the history of the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the significance of its first appearance in the United States and offer a look into exclusive exhibits.

SC Johnson is a regional sponsor of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and has a long-standing commitment to preserving the legacy of architectural icon Frank Lloyd Wright. SC Johnson’s global headquarters features two world renowned signature Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings, the Administration Building, which opened in 1939, and its vertical complement the Research Tower, which opened in 1950.

All tours of the company’s global headquarters and community interest programs are open to the public and free with reservations.

This five part series is just one part of the free Community Interest Programs hosted at SC Johnson. Non-profit organizations are able to co-sponsor speaking engagements, documentaries, or panel discussions of interest to the general public at SC Johnson’s Golden Rondelle Theater.
