SC Johnson Named to 2015 Working Mother Magazine 100 Best Companies

Company Honored for the 27th Time for Commitment to Great Workplaces

RACINE, Wis., (September 22, 2015) – Today, Working Mother magazine named SC Johnson as one of the 2015 Working Mother 100 Best Companies. This marks the 27th time SC Johnson has been recognized for establishing programs that support working parents including paid family leave, flexibility and advancement of women.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, approximately 60 percent of families include working parents. With American households facing increasing economic pressures, it can be difficult to manage the responsibilities of parenting and work. SC Johnson provides a variety of benefits to better meet the diverse needs of its people. Benefits include a Childcare Learning Center, flexible work schedules, generous maternity, paternity and adoption leave, and a recreational center.

“This recognition by Working Mother magazine is such an honor for SC Johnson,” said Fisk Johnson, Chairman and CEO of SC Johnson. “As a 129-year-old family company, it is a reflection of what we strive for as a company and believe in.”

Subha Barry, Vice President, General Manager, Working Mother Media, said, “As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies, we are keen to recognize leaders who have built initiatives that truly support all employees. They are the vanguard of successful companies, with policies that matter to American families.”

Working Mother magazine will showcase the selected companies at this year’s Work Life Congress from October 14-15 in New York City. The complete list of the 2015 Working Mother 100 Best Companies can be found here.

In addition to this latest award, SC Johnson received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index and was ranked 12th on the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces by Great Place to Work® Institute in 2014.
