Jake was diagnosed with a brain tumor just one day after his 6th birthday. After major surgery Jake had to learn to walk and talk all over again. After losing his hair to radiation and chemo, Jake told me that he wanted to start a hat drive for kids in oncology. He said "a hat is like a warm hug for your head." Not only did Jake collect hats but Jake raised funds to help ease the financial burdens families with critically ill children face everyday. Jake went to be our Hero in Heaven in Feb. 2008 but his love of giving continues through with his foundation. The "Smiles for Jake Foundation." www.smilesforjake.org
