Guided by the principles of This We Believe, we are committed to protecting the safety and welfare of our workers and the communities where we operate. We will comply with applicable requirements, prevent pollution, conserve resources, assess our risks, and measure for continual improvement.
Principles
Each North America Product Supply Manufacturing site will meet the SHE Policy through the following activities:
1. Ensure that this Policy is kept up-to-date, documented, implemented and communicated to all workers and made available to the public;
2. Obey the laws and regulations for Safety, Health and Environment at our manufacturing sites;
3. Meet or exceed SCJ Corporate SHE requirements and other applicable SHE standards;
4. Advocate safety, health and environmental priorities for industry, through professional associations, government agencies, and public groups;
5. Prepare for potential emergencies and respond promptly to emergency situations;
6. Upon request, communicate the significant SHE aspects of our operations to employees, government agencies, and other stakeholders affected by them;
7. Apply sound Safety, Health and Environment practices;
8. Evaluate our operations regularly to reduce Safety, Health and Environment impacts;
9. Involve all workers at all levels in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace;
10. Provide employees and contractors with training that emphasizes individual responsibility and ensure that all employees and contractors of NAPS understand and adhere to our SHE practices and procedures;
11. Provide medical services, initial and preventive examinations, and health programs to employees;
12. Set SHE objectives and targets relevant to the significant aspects of our operations;
13. Measure and report our SHE performance, and regularly evaluate our procedures and operations to ensure continual improvement and compliance with this Policy; and
14. Allocate employee and management resources to implement these principles.
