Lighter Bottle, Less Waste
In the United States, we launched a lighter 32-ounce bottle for products like SC Johnson’s Windex® glass cleaner, reducing consumer waste by a million pounds annually.
Assistance in Puerto Rico
SC Johnson Puerto Rico made a donation to support shelter and education for mistreated or abandoned children.
Reducing Energy Use
SC Johnson Egypt has installed a new variable-speed drive air compressor, which will help reduce our compressed air energy consumption by 30%.
Supporting Rehabilitation
SC Johnson Czech helped the local Down Syndrome organization provide rehabilitation and exercise to beneficiaries.
Reusing Plastic in Ziploc® Products
Scrap plastic from Ziploc® manufacturing is sold to a local recycler, who then turns it into resin pellets. We then buy back the pellets that meet our quality standards, and use them to produce bags. Up to 2% of the resin in Ziploc® brand bags is our own recycled scrap saved from production waste.
Muscling Up Mr. Muscle®
SC Johnson reformulated Mr. Muscle Shower Shine® bathroom cleaner with the Greenlist™ process for increased biodegradability — 98% in standard tests.
Green Building in Brazil
Our new factory in Manaus, Brazil includes thermal solar collectors and a rainwater collection sstem for manufacturing and facilities.
Forklifts Go Electric
At SC Johnson China, recent initiatives include pilot use of an electric forklift that cuts carbon dioxide from 1.53 kg/hr to 1.14 kg/hr.
Helping Those in Need
SC Johnson Australia supports the Taronga Zoo, Wesley Mission for Disadvantaged Children and breast cancer research.
